The Glory of God
Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” John 11:40 (NIV)
I was praying and I heard the Lord say in my spirit, "It's in the glory; all that you need." Then He reminded me of Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (KJV).
The answer to your need is in glory. My friend, everything we need is within the glory of God: finances, love, joy, peace, victory, healing, miracles, satisfaction, answers...
What is the glory and how do we get in it? God's glory is His manifest presence; His goodness that we can experience. I like this definition of the glory of God: the manifestation of God's excellencies, bringing out God's goodness where it can be seen. We can access the glory by worshipping the Lord in faith. As we worship Him, He will manifest Himself. And that is where things really happen- miracles, healings, etc. And when God meets needs, people see His goodness; His glory. This makes others desire to know God.
As the glory is manifested, God's goodness is on full display through His provision and care. Therefore, the more we worship God, the more of His manifest presence we will experience and be able to share with others. And that's what the gospel is all about- sharing the goodness of God.
Do you despise the riches of His goodness, tolerance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? Romans 2:4 (Modern English Version, MEV)
When His glory is manifested and His goodness is evident, it leads people to repent and turn to Him. His glory is a powerful witness to the unsaved, and we must live a lifestyle of worship so we can expose as many people as possible to the glory of the Lord. We are to be glory carriers, bringing the presence of God everywhere we go.
