Prophetic Threads
Some people are hestiant to refer to prophecy or the prophetic, but prophetic themes are woven throughout the Bible like threads in a fabric. According to Noah Webster’s American Dictionary of the English Language of 1828, the definition for the word prophecy includes: A foretelling, prediction, a declaration of something to come. As God only knows future events with certainty, no being but God, or some person informed by Him can utter a real prophecy. I encourage you to consider the following list of prophetic references and do your own study on the role of the prophetic in the Bible, and in the life of a believer.
