You Will Stand and Stay

I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8 (KJV)

“I shall not be moved.” This phrase is for us today. Storms will come to try to move us from where God wants us, but when God puts us somewhere, He has the power and ability to keep us there. And we have our part to play: we are to stand our ground.

Ephesians 6:13-14 says: “And having done all to stand, stand therefore.” Don’t give the enemy any ground. Wherever God put you, stand on the Word, steadfast and immovable. As we stand still, we will see the salvation of God (Exodus 14:31). God will not fail us; He will keep us right where He has placed us. We should only move when God moves us. Until then, we shall not be moved. As a matter of fact, we are not to be driven out of our place, but instead we are to drive out the enemy.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. Mark 16:17 (KJV) emphasis mine.

Even if the devil has been whispering in your ear that he is going to remove you from where you are, God is saying you will stand and stay. Kick the devil out of your affairs. We believe the Lord, so we are authorized and empowered to drive demons out of their places of operation. Therefore, we stand and keep our place, driving them out as we do.

The devil is full of hot air. What a smoke screen and a bluff to try to tell us he can move us! Evict him out of your life and give him no place- all the while staying in the place God has put you. When we use our authority the only way we could be moved is if God was moved- and He is not going anywhere! Neither are we as we stand in Christ.

I am always aware of the Lord's presence; he is near, and nothing can shake me. Psalm 16:8 (Good News Translation, GNT)
