Stay Open to God

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 (KJV)

Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:27 (KJV)

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Ephesians 5:18 (KJV)

As we stay open to God, to His Word, His truth and righteousness, as we stay full of the Holy Spirit, we won’t open ourselves up to sin, satan, and lawlessness. As we stay open to God, living by His truth, we will keep the door closed to lies and corruption.

As we follow God’s laws and make those laws man’s laws, there will be truth, justice, and righteousness for all. When we close ourselves off from God and His Word, we open ourselves up to every destructive foe and force. When we ignore God and what He’s telling us, it is a recipe for certain destruction. Corruption of every kind emerges when God is not the center of our lives.

Distraction is one of our biggest enemies. We must resist all evil that tries to steal our hearts, minds, and lives away from God. We must receive all God is and all He expects and commands in order to have a good life. That’s called submission. We must leave the evil, the devil, and cleave to the good, which is God. Then we will begin to see things turn around for ourselves, our lives, our families, our churches, our societies, and our nations.
