Die to Live
Christ in us puts us over as we let Him live His life through us.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
This verse says we are crucified with Christ. You can’t hurt a dead man. No matter what you say or do to him, his feelings won’t get hurt, and you can’t offend him.
If we get our feelings hurt, this shows that we have to die to what we want so Christ can live through us. The more we die to ourselves, to what we want, think or feel, the more we can allow Christ to live through us. When we do, we’ll want, think, and feel what God wants, thinks, and feels.
We can live the resurrection life, the overcoming life. You can’t defeat a resurrected man. The life we live in the flesh, the daily life of work, family and so forth, we live by the faith of Jesus. We let Jesus live through us. We must trust His love and his sacrifice. Jesus died for us so He can live in and through us. That’s resurrection life in action.
The more we die to our wills, our wants, our ways, the more Christ lives His life through us. His is a higher way and a higher life. What once hurt, defeated, and offended us will do so no more. As we face things, we’ll see how surrendered we are to the Christ life- or not. Each time something comes up, if we are dead to ourselves, we won’t fight in the flesh, but we’ll allow Jesus to love through us.
Let Christ live and love through you. When He lives through you, His resurrection life defeats death and anything that would try to separate you from Him. Jesus will help you overcome in every situation as you let Him live His life through you. Let go of your life and the way you want to do things, and let the life of Christ flow through you.
