God Does

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:9-10 (KJV)

I was feeling distraught and the Lord spoke to me, “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed.” Then He led me to Psalm 9:9, which says exactly that. As I heard God continue to speak to me, I wrote the following encouraging words that I wish to share with you.

When no one understands you, God does. When no one knows how you feel, God does. When there’s no one to talk to, talk to God. When there is no one to turn to or rely on, turn to God. Rely on God. When no one is there, God is. When no one sees you, God does. When no one listens, God listens. When you are forgotten, God remembers. When there’s nowhere to go, go to God. When you can’t, God can. When you hurt, God heals. When all is lost, God restores. When you’ve been done wrong, God will do you right. When no one cares, God does.

Regardless of what we’re facing or what we’re walking through, God is with us. Just keep taking steps. Let every step be a step of reliance on God to do the impossible, to manifest what you need, to help you.Keep walking by faith. Keep walking in the Spirit. Know that God is your refuge, your safe place, your high place, a place where you are safe from all that surrounds you. Because we know the Lord’s name, we put our trust in Him and all that His Name shows He is. God never forsakes those who seek Him. As we seek Him, we will find Him. God is all we need, and He will meet our every need.

I recommend that you spend some time reading Psalm 34 and meditating on it. It tells what God will do for those who trust Him, seek Him, worship Him, and rely on Him. God rescues the godly ones.
