Problem or Opportunity?

We all have problems, and sometimes we even make problems for others. For every problem, there is a promise from God to take care of it..

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. II Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)

The devil likes to use problems to keep us upset and worried so we don’t think straight or think things through. Then he tries to keep hitting us from all sides, sending problem after problem- some big and some small- attempting to get us so emotional that it affects how we think.

We must learn not to make decisions based on emotions. And we must not continue to take our problems and how we feel out on others. That’s not a good way to have a successful relationship, especially with those closest to us.

We have to learn to seek God’s help so He can show us first how to deal with ourselves, then with the devil, then with the problem..

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 (KJV)

Some problems are spiritual, and we must deal with them on a spiritual basis. We can take authority over the devil and his demons by submitting to God, and then by resisting the devil using the name of Jesus. Some problems are not from the devil but from ourselves. We must know how to gain and maintain our peace by staying focused on God. Then we can deal with others in love and self-control. Some problems are from other people, so we must know when to confront people in love.

We can’t solve all problems, but we can give them to God (I Peter 5:7). God can solve the problem, or He might give us wisdom to know how to deal with it ((I Corinthians 1:30).

Problems come and go. If we handle them incorrectly, it can cause them to last longer or cause them to reoccur. if we deal with a problem in a timely and appropriate manner, we can shorten its duration. Sometimes, we need to step back, pray, and get God’s direction, then proceed. No matter what, we need to involve God in every problem we face in order to gain the best outcome. Make decisions based on God’s Word and be led by His Spirit. When God tells us to act, we must act. When He tells us to wait, we must be willing to wait. If we obey God, we can outlast any problem we encounter.

We can use problems as tools to grow and develop us in strength, wisdom, and maturity. Problems can be used to our advantage if we have the right perspective of them. Problems don’t have to defeat us, but they can promote us. Be a problem-solver, and promotion will come. We are not to make problems, but fix problems. As problem-solvers, we will be sought out by others because we will have proven ourselves able to take care of things and overcome obstacles.

Take God’s promises to turn problems into opportunities for advancement in life.
