Greatly Increased

“As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt had greatly increased. Acts 7:17 (New International Version, NIV)

God gives us promises to bless us. For whatever God has promised, He will begin to increase us, preparing us and making us ready to handle what God is planning to give us. He readies us so we’ll handle it in a right way. Remember- when God promises something, He performs it. And He blesses us to bless others. So, how we handle our blessings is important. That is why we are being increased and prepared.

Recall, in the midst of Egypt, which means house of bondage, God increased Israel. We, too, are in bondage, and God is working. In the midst of where we’re at in this world, God is increasing us to break us away from what’s on us and holds us in slavery. The anointing will increase on us until we’re free and God moves to fulfill His promise to bring us out to bring us into what He has for us. He is increasing us, preparing us to enter the place He has for us.

If you’re feeling some discomfort right now, do not fear. We are being stretched and readied for what lies ahead. We’re being increased individually and as the body of Christ. So, wherever you are right now, let God increase you until He fulfills His promise to you. The fulfillment is coming, so welcome the increase. Never forget that God keeps His promises.
