Don't Let Anything Stop, Steal, or Silence Your Praise

Everything will be thrown at us by the enemy to try to stop, steal, and silence our praise to God.

O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee…. Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation; And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's…. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much. II Chronicles 20:12, 14-15, 21-25 (KJV)

The enemy came to try to stop them with an attack. When attacked, fight back with praise. Praise is our weapon, and praise is our victory. It stops the enemy. It spoils the enemy. When you don’t know what to do, praise. When you’re afraid and dismayed, praise. Praise possesses. The enemy can’t stop or take out a praiser who praises God. Praise turns the battle over to the Lord, and the Lord turns the victory and spoils over to us.

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1 (KJV)

If the devil can steal your praise, he will steal your victory, joy, peace, health, relationships, callings, anointings, and blessings. Praise stops the devil and his demons in their tracks and causes them to turn around and run. Praise protects us from being ripped off by the enemy. If you’ve been ripped off, praise takes back what the enemy has stolen and makes him pay back seven times more. Praise enforces the victory. If the enemy can’t steal your praise, he can’t steal from you. It stops the thief and catches him. Continual praise means continual victory, continual protection, and the continual presence of God. As we praise God at all times, praise is always in our mouths, and victory is always ours.

Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Psalm 8:2 (New International Version, NIV)

This tells us that praise silences the enemy’s mouth. Praise blocks him from silencing us. Praise produces strength to overcome. Praise makes us stronger than our enemies and their weapons and attacks. Praise shuts the mouth of every foe in defeat. According to this verse in the New Living Translation, praise silences your enemies and all who oppose you.

Praise is strength to overcome any and every enemy: devils, people, fear, worry, lack, or sickness. Attack back with praise to God to push the enemy back until they are caught in their own trap and silenced. If the enemy can’t silence you, he can’t defeat you. Don’t go down in silence, but rise up, stay up, and go up in praise. Praising the Lord takes you higher and higher. It is our authority over every foe. Let your voice be heard. Praise the Lord!
