We Can Laugh Because God Laughs

You might be facing a situation that seems impossible. The enemy may think he has you right where he wants you. On the surface, all may appear to be lost, but this is the perfect time to laugh.

I know it sounds counter-intuitive to laugh when your world seems to be falling apart, but the devil is a very prideful being. Pride was the sin that cost him his place in heaven. Because he is filled with pride, he absolutely hates for anyone to laugh at him. Laughter infuriates him. Especially when it comes from God and His children.

The devil is already defeated. Jesus defeated him 2,000 years ago when He stripped him of his authority and humiliated him in front of all of heaven and all of the devil’s demonic beings. Jesus made an open show of him, and the devil is still fuming from it. Laughing in his face is like pouring salt in an open wound.

We have been given authority to trample on the devil, and we can keep him subdued under us by the name of Jesus and the blood of Christ. Because of what Jesus did, we are spiritually seated with Christ- far above every evil power and principality. Because we are one with Christ, we can do as He does. This means that we can laugh at the enemy just like God does.

We do not need to fear satan, Jesus already took care of him. He cannot harm us unless we allow him to. He is a defeated and humiliated foe, and we have the ability to laugh at his attacks because we know they will come to nothing. He puts on a big show, but in the end we come out on top.

So, close your eyes and envision yourself seated on your throne in heaven with Jesus. Look down at the devil far, far under your feet- and laugh- and laugh, and laugh, and laugh.
