What To Do When You Don't Know What To Do
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. I Thessalonians 5:24 (KJV)
When you don’t know what to do, keep doing what you know to do. As we’re faithful at our post, continuing to do what God has already told us to do, He is working on us and for us. You may find yourself in a situation where you believe you need the direction of the Lord. If you get no guidance from Him, then simply go back to the last thing He told you to do and keep doing that until you are given new directions.
Just keep putting your hands to something so He can bless it. We must keep taking steps so God can guide us. You can’t steer a parked car. Do one thing at a time. Take one step at a time. Keep doing the last thing God told you to do.
God uses the faithful. He knows who you are and where you are. Stay open to God’s Word, Spirit, voice, and leading. He will let you know what to do and when to do it, so wait for His instructions. The place you are in now is God’s way of preparing you for the next, new level. You know how to study, pray, love, give, worship, witness, etc. These are stepping stones God will use to get you to where He wants you. Each steps gets you closer. Don’t miss the place where you are now because you are so busy trying to figure out where you are going! Stay faithful with the last instructions you were given. God is using it all to prepare and position you for what He has for you.
