How To Know What God Wants you To Do

How To Know What God Wants you To Do

Never discount or dismiss the dreams and desires of your heart. God uses those dreams to steer you into what He has for you.

And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the Lord hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work. And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work. Exodus 35:30-35 (KJV)

God has a work for you, and He will let you know what it is. How? He will put it in your heart to do it, and He will equip you for it. Bezaleel was filled with the Spirit of God, and, according to this passage, God put in his heart what He wanted him to do- teach.

What’s in your heart that you want to do? All you have to do is listen to your heart. Out of the abundance of the heart, our mouth speaks, so our heart knows who we are and what God has designed us to do.

Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalm 37:4 (KJV)

God puts the desires in our hearts, then He fulfills them.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 (KJV)

That which God puts in you, He helps you to do it. Thus, God equips you to do what God puts in your heart to do. Don’t consider how much money you’ll make if you do something or how much prestige you think you’ll get, but instead follow what He’s put in your heart.

In the same way He did with Bezaleel, God will do with us. He fills us. Then we find out what we’re to do. And God helps us fulfill what He’s placed in our hearts.
