Tare Removal

Tare Removal

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ” Matthew 13:24-30 (NKJV)

What are tares? Tares refer to a type of weed that looks very much like wheat as it grows. However, tares produce toxic kernels. It isn’t until the head, or kernels, are visible on the wheat and tares that they look different. This is why the owner told his workers to leave the tares to grow up with the wheat plants. If they did not, they might not pull out the right plants, plus they might pull out wheat plants with the tares.

The enemy in the parable is satan. The wheat plants are members of the body of Christ. The tares are imposters that have been planted in the church by the devil to lead people astray and cause harm to the body of Christ. At first, the tares look like the other members of the body, but as they grow, the difference is made more clear.

We are at harvest time on the earth. God’s glory is coming to invade earth and a worldwide harvest of souls unlike any other is beginning. That means we are starting to see the removal of the tares. Prepare your heart to see those imposters who looked like believers be exposed and removed. God is weeding out the body of Christ so the harmful tares will not hinder the great awakening that is coming.

Many of those who will be exposed as tares might surprise us. A number of church leaders, many who are well-known and respected, will be uprooted and pulled out as tares. The Bible tells us that judgment begins in the house of the Lord. Exposure of hidden sin, much deception, and outright hypocrisy has begun and will continue until the bride of Christ is cleansed of those who would prove toxic to us and to the great ingathering of souls. The removal of the tares takes place first, before we, the wheat, are gathered to the Lord’s barn. In other words, judgment in the church will happen before the great harvest and before the rapture of the church.

We must brace ourselves to learn about many whom we’ve honored and followed as leaders that have been lying and deceiving us into believing they were something that they were not. As disappointing as it will be, the tares must be removed so the harvest may be accomplished successfully. The removal of the tares can serve as an encouraging sign that the last great awakening is upon us!
