The Spirit of Life Will "Life" You
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11 (KJV)
The Bible yells us that in the mouth of two or three witnesses, a word is established. This verse says twice that the Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. God is saying it twice to establish His Word and testimony about this fact. He does this so we’ll really get it and believe it. Jesus’ raised body is a guarantee that when we believe God, He will quicken our mortal bodies, actually speaking of here and now while we’re still living on this earth.
The word quicken in the Greek means to make alive with life, revitalize, rejuvenate, to give life, fill with life, to cause to live. The word indicates a continual, ongoing thing. In other words, Holy Spirit is continuously “lifing” our bodies. Jesus means Savior or Salvation. Christ means the Anointed One and His anointing. Holy Spirit releases the Savior and His saving life and power in us to save, heal, and revitalize us. When Christ, the Anointed One and His anointing, lives in us, His anointing destroys every yoke.
Holy Spirit is continuously giving us life so we overcome sickness, disease, pain, weakness, depression, and weariness. God’s life will bring us back to health, to wholeness. It provides supernatural ability and energy. When we are tired physically, Holy Spirit can take us from weakness to strength. He will empower us with resurrection power, raising us up where we belong- the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath- to do what we need to do.
This resurrection life, this overcoming power by the Holy Spirit will “life” our mortal bodies so we feel better- healed, healthy, and whole. We’ll walk as Jesus walked- in victory, power, and life, fulfilling God’s will and work. Holy Spirit will release the zoe (Greek), the life of God, in our physical bodies. This puts to death any sickness, virus, or any disease that tries to even touch our bodies. Life always overcomes death.
As we stand on the promise of the resurrection life of God being imparted in us by the Holy Spirit, we will experience its manifestation over and over as a continual, ongoing, experience.
