Stand Fast in Your Freedom
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1 (KJV)
This verse tells us that we are to stand fast and immovable in the liberty and freedom that comes from Christ. In the same way that an opposing army may try to return to regain the ground they lost, the devil will try to come back, recapture us, and get us entangled again in old bondages. We must stand fast and we must stand our ground. if Jesus has set you free from sin, any bondage, or entanglement, you must be committed to staying free. If you give into the enemy, you will go back into bondage; a captive, a prisoner, a slave to sin, satan, and even to yourself.
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; Ephesians 3:16 (KJV)
We must be stronger within to withstand the attack from without. As we say yes to Jesus, His lordship, His Word, and His ways, the Holy Spirit will strengthen us from within. He will empower us to overcome any weakness in our flesh, wrong mindsets, misleading belief systems, or anything set to trap us. Reading the Word daily and routinely praying in tongues will make our inner man like steel to withstand the assaults of the enemy.
When we rely on Christ, the Anointed One and His anointing, we receive a fresh supply of the anointing to destroy yokes and break any chains of bondage. As we live in Christ and Christ abides in us, we draw from the Anointed One and His anointing so the devil can’t get his harmful and hurtful hands on us. We will think with the mind of Christ, staying free in our thinking, anointed to speak words of freedom and victory. We’ll be anointed to be who God made us to be and to do what He destined us to do.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. I John 4:4 (KJV)
Our liberty in Christ makes us free in our minds to make right choices moment by moment, resulting in us living right. We must remember to rely on the greater One in us to help us to yield to God and choose to do the right thing over and over again. Thus, we’ll become stronger and stronger, where we stand fast in the liberty in which Christ has made us free.
