Releasing Others Into Freedom
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. II Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)
Recently, I was full of care and weighted down. Care holds us down and makes us heavy-laden. I didn’t try to go it on my own, but I asked someone for prayer. The brother could tell that I was going through a lot and was weighted down. He began to minister to me from the Word of God, and then we began to pray. When we were finished praying for all the needs and people on my heart, I felt better- happy and free. The weight had been lifted, and I did not feel trapped under that burden any longer.
As a result, I felt so free that I began to worship the Lord on my guitar, which released even more liberty and joy. I felt so free knowing that every need is in God’s hands and He has it under control.
So, when we see people that are burdened with cares and problems, let’s love them and pray them through to breakthrough and freedom. We want them to experience the freedom Jesus gives us.
So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free. John 8:36 (New American Standard Bible, NASB)
Freely you have received, so freely give. Share your freedom with others. Ask and you shall receive that your joy may be full. We can pray and ask God to give them the same liberty we have been given. In God’s presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand is Jesus, Who gives us pleasures evermore. The God of life and freedom wants us to be His vessels to release others into freedom.
