Awaken and Arise!
I have hesitated to write this post, but God keeps prompting me, and I know it must be said. We, as the body of Christ, have believed the lies of the devil. We have sat idly by while the world has been getting darker and darker. We have been complacent, even fearful, and waited for someone else to stop the evil influences that have taken over society. This cannot continue.
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1 (NKJV)
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Matthew 5:14-15 (NKJV)
The church has been satisfied to sit inside its four walls, hide its light, and ignore the evil outside. This will not work any longer. We can’t rely on the government or special interest groups to take care of wickedness, because many of them are the ones perpetrating it. God did not tell the government or politicians to shine their light. He told that to us, the church. WE are the light of the world. WE are to shine the light of God and dispel darkness. Don’t expect one person or even a group of people to do what the church is supposed to do.
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Matthew 5:13 (NKJV)
Salt has historically been a means of preserving food. As the body of Christ, we are to be the salt of this earth, preserving mankind. Have we lost our saltiness? If not, we are dangerously close to it. The church has been asleep far too long. We’ve turned a blind eye to the plans of the enemy for this nation and the world. We have to wake up and rise up. See what the devil is doing to our children. See what he has been doing to babies in the womb. See what he’s been doing to marriages. See what he is doing to peace between nations. See what he’s been doing to bring division between all of us- whether it is based on color, race, age, gender, political preferences, or whatever. See what he’s done to steal our health, wealth, and freedom. See what he has been doing to dumb down the way people think. See what he has done to bring us all into slavery and under the control of people who do not have our best interests at heart. Wake up! We can’t keep sleeping through this. A remnant has been doing all the heavy lifting and this must change.
Only the church has the authority and ability to fix this because we are the only ones who can bring God on the scene. We can’t expect others to do this for us. The church is supposed to rule and reign and be the driving force in politics, education, entertainment, media, and every aspect of society. Don’t buy the lie of separation of church and state. That is not in the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, or any such foundational document. It’s been a ploy to keep the church meek and weak when it comes to the affairs of our communities and nation. And the fear of losing tax-exempt status should not keep preachers from speaking the truth. If funds are lost through losing tax-exempt status, then trust God to make up the difference. That has simply been a means of controlling what is said from the pulpits. Woe to the shepherds who know the truth but do not tell it to the sheep.
I know this is a strong message, and you may be offended. If so, I’d rather you be offended than let this nation and the world go to hell. My prayer is that this will shake those of us who are still sleeping wide awake. Please do not let our glorious nation go down in flames. We must unify as one glorious Bride of Christ and do everything in our power to restore liberty and righteousness to this land so it can be enjoyed by future generations. Pray and ask the Lord what He would have you do. Maybe He wants you to share this post with others. Maybe He wants you to pray more earnestly for this country. Maybe He wants you to get involved in your local community. Maybe He wants you to give financially to someone who is making a difference in this fight. Everyone can do something. If every person in the body of Christ listened to God and did what He told them to do to stand up against evil, we would see things turn around in a short time.
We are not powerless. God has not abandoned us. Awaken and arise! We were born for such a time as this. Use your authority and the resources, talents, and abilities God has given you to bring this nation back to being one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all.
