Finished

Christ’s work is finished, and we are to establish His finished work in our lives.

When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:30 (New International Version, NIV) emphasis mine

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; Hebrews 10:12 (KJV)

When Jesus said “It is finished,” it was exactly that- finished. Mankind’s salvation was paid in full. There was no more to be done. Jesus put an end to sin and its effects. And when we see something wrong going on, we can bring it to an end. We can put an end to wrongs, injustice, sickness, sin- all the works of the devil. We can do this by applying the finished work of Christ to it.

Speak to wickedness and sin and say, “The finished work of Christ has brought you to a finish.” Satan’s evil works have to end in your life. Enforce the finished works of Christ to end the wrong things going on in your life. Make it so by saying so. Agree with Christ by saying what He said.: “It is finished.”

We can remove the old and bring in the new. Begin to establish new things, better things in your life based on Christ’s finished work. Operate in a better covenant based on a better sacrifice: Jesus Christ. Don’t ignore all He paid to give us. Salvation is finished. Healing is finished. Provision is finished. Peace is finished. Protection is finished. It’s all a done deal in Christ. It is finished in the mind of Christ, so finish it in your life. Believe it, speak it and receive it. Rest in the finished work of Christ. It truly is finished.
