Heart To Heart

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee. I Samuel 13:14 (KJV)

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. I Samuel 16:7 (KJV)

We should love God and tell Him that we love Him. Yet, it goes deeper than that. God sees our hearts. He sees and knows what is in each of hearts because God put that love, worship, desire, passion, reverence, and longing for Him in there to begin with.

Words only go so deep. However, your heart for God goes deeper. When God touches your heart with His, He takes you deeper into Him. When you want to go deeper in God but you can’t seem to get there, God steps in, and, by His Spirit and presence, lets you experience Him in a deeper way.

God sees and knows our hearts. He wants to fill our hearts with Himself so we become satisfied just to be with Him, resting in His nearness. We’re talking about experiencing a heart-to-heart communion, where worship and fellowship flow. Our hearts desire to beat as one with our heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We can experience our heart and God’s heart becoming one, deep calling unto deep- God’s Spirit calling to our spirits.

We become heart-to-heart with our Creator God, as we pour our love on Him and He pours His love on us.
