God Is More
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) emphasis mine.
God is infinite, meaning He has no beginning or ending. God is more than we can comprehend, understand, experience, think, or tell. Him in this verse refers to God and tells us that God is even more than whatever we can think about Him. He is all-knowing, all-wise, all-powerful, all-loving, all-faithful, and forever present or eternal.
No matter what we think He knows, God knows even more. Whatever we’ve experienced with God is a drop in the bucket compared to what He can do. His power is greater than we can fathom. God is more, can do more, knows more, and is beyond our comprehension. His understanding is unlimited and goes far, far beyond ours. And regardless of how much God has blessed us, He wants to bless us even more.
The universe gives us a glimpse of God’s power and what He can do. As we let that power work in, through, and for us, we’ll see and experience God more and more. We’ll see Him for Who He is.
Don’t limit God with your limited thinking or asking. Let God out of the box you’ve put Him in. The earth and the heavens cannot contain God. He is everywhere at the same time, yet He lives in our hearts and is enthroned in heaven. Explain that!
Nothing can contain God, yet He choses to live in us. At the same time, He is outside us and beyond us. However, by revelation of His Word and by the Holy Spirit, we get to know this all-sufficient, self-existing, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent God. He’s that big and yet He’s personal enough to know us by name and knows everything about us. It will take eternity to know God because He is eternal. God is more!
